As part of the laboratory’s core staff, I have been involved in the following research activities: validation of forensic laboratory procedures, establishment of a country-wide Philippine population genetic database using several human STR (Short Tandem Repeat) loci, conducting training workshops on basic DNA analysis for the local scientific community and performing DNA analysis on several forensic and paternity cases. >>
