I am involved in several of the laboratory’s research projects and these include the validation of forensic laboratory procedures and the establishment of a country-wide, Philippine population genetic database using several human autosomal STR loci. My most recent work was focused on research on mitochondrial DNA heteroplasmy in the Filipino population and the establishment of a Philippine population database at five X-chromosomal STRs. I also take part in the laboratory’s forensic and paternity casework. >>
